Check your smartphone settings
As I told you at the beginning of the article, systems to be able to know your Wind number there are several. The first, as well as the most immediate if you have inserted the reference card in a smartphone, consists in intervening on the settings of the latter, calling up the function that allows you to obtain detailed information about the device and the SIM used. So let's see how to proceed with both Android that with iPhone.
Android
If what you are using is a Android, to find out the phone number of your Wind card, the first fundamental step you need to take is to take the device, unlock it, access the home screen and drawer (the screen where you find the icons of all the apps grouped) and press the icon of Settings (Quella a forma di gear).
In the new screen that is shown to you at this point, presses on the item Info on the device and locate the wording Personal telephone number: in correspondence with the latter you will find the telephone number associated with the Wind card inserted in the smartphone. It was easy, wasn't it?
Keep in mind that if in correspondence with the item Personal telephone number see the wording Unknown number instead of the SIM number, it is probably because you are using a replacement card (i.e. a SIM required as a replacement for a lost, damaged or stolen card) or a SIM with no registered number.
Please note: some of the indications I have given you a moment ago, relating to the items to be selected in the Android settings, may differ from what you see on the screen. This is because each Android smartphone manufacturer can apply customizations to the OS, thus making the devices different from each other depending on the brand and model.
iPhone
I know, I invented, I che stai using è a iPhone, you can find out the phone number associated with your Wind card by proceeding as follows: take the device, unlock it, access the home screen and press the icon of Settings (Quella with l 'gear).
In the new screen displayed, presses on the item Telephone and identify the field My number. The numbering you will find in correspondence with the aforementioned item will be that of your Wind SIM card. Easier than that?
Even in the case of iOS, if in correspondence with the field My number in the settings you cannot see the phone number of your Wind card, evidently it is because you are using a replacement SIM (i.e. a card required as a replacement for a lost, damaged or stolen card) or without a registered number.
Make a phone call
This may certainly seem trivial to most people, but another way to find out your Wind number is tomake a call by the user in question, in such a way as to display the caller's number on the mobile phone screen of the person receiving the call.
The phone call can also be made to a fixed line, as long as the recipient has a telephone with a display to be able to view the number of the caller.
If the Wind SIM whose number you want to find does not have sufficient credit, you can still forward the call using the service 4088 which allows you to call at the recipient's expense. In this way, whoever receives the call will listen to a message in which the thing will be communicated together with the number of the person who is calling him.
To make a phone call using the service in question, all you have to do is type in the aforementioned code on the numeric keypad of the mobile phone followed by the number to call (Eg. 40883291111111) and then press the button to make a normal phone call (usually it is the one with the green handset).
The service can only be used for calls to TIM lines (both mobile and fixed), Vodafone and Wind. For more information, I invite you to refer to my tutorial dedicated specifically to how to call without credit.
Check the SIM, sales package and contract
You can also go back to your Wind number by checking directly on the SIM card of reference. On some old SIMs, in fact, the phone number is shown right on the plastic part of the same. You can check if this is your case by gently taking the card in your hands, with the gold chip facing down. If the phone number is listed on the card, you should find its number sequence printed on the plastic part.
But pay attention to one thing: if the set of numbers starts with the sequence of digits 8939, you are most likely reading the serial of the SIM (ICCID) and not the phone number.
If the number is not present on the SIM, you may be able to find it on yours sales package (generally this information is shown on the back, on a special label) or on the plastic card where the SIM was originally placed (i.e. where the PIN and PUK associated with it), in correspondence with the wording Phone Number.
Both in the case of the SIM, the sales package and the plastic card, however, keep in mind that if it is a replacement card or resulting from a change of operator with portability (MNP), the printed mobile number could be that provisional and not that actual.
Another “place” to look to try to find your card's phone number is the contract signed with Wind, issued by the operator at the time of purchase of the SIM or of any subscription. Take a look: among the various data reported there is certainly also the relative numbering.
Access the Wind customer area
A further solution you have on your side to find out which number the SIM Wind you own belongs is to access theonline customer area of the manager and in finding the information of your interest from there. You can do it both from mobile and from computer.
In the first case, download and install the app My Wind, available for both Android and iOS, on the device in which the reference Wind card is inserted using, respectively, the Play Store or l 'App Store. When installation is complete, start the app by pressing its icon, which in the meantime will have been added to the screen where all the applications are grouped.
Now that you are viewing the My Wind main screen, if you are connected with your smartphone to the operator's data network, you do not need to carry out any registration and / or login procedures and information relating to your line will be shown directly. If, on the other hand, you are connected via Wi-Fi, you will first have to log in to the service by filling in the appropriate fields on the screen, or you will have to register by pressing the appropriate button and following the simple guided procedure proposed.
Later, to know the numbering, just take a look at the top left of the screen, in the section Home of the app. The phone number is reported there, as well as at the top of the menu that you can call up by pressing the button with the three lines horizontally located at the top right.
From a computer, however, proceed as follows: connected to the Wind website, press the button Log in located at the top right and fill in the fields on the screen with your login data. Then press the button Log in. If you are not registered yet, fix it now by clicking the button Subscribe and providing the requested data.
Once logged in, press the button Customer area visible in the side menu and you can see the phone number of the Wind SIM in the upper right part of the page, under the heading Phone line. If you can't see it, click on the aforementioned item to make it appear.
Contact customer service
Finally, I would like to point out that among the systems available to find out your Wind number, the possibility of contacting the customer care of the manager. To do this, just make a free call to 155 (the Wind customer service number, in fact) using the reference SIM.
When the call has started, listen to the instructions of the recorded voice, then press the key necessary for receive support (should be the 2), wait online, press the button to receive assistance from a consultant (should be the 3) and wait a few more seconds for an operator "in flesh and blood" to answer you.
Keep in mind that the combinations of assistance services change constantly, so, apart from my instructions, try to follow the instructions of the recorded voice with the utmost attention, in order to avoid form errors and unnecessary waste of time.
Next, ask the consultant to trace your number, bearing in mind that you may be asked for data such as fiscal Code and serial (ICCID) of the SIM. If you think you need more information on what to do, see my tutorial on how to talk to a Wind operator.
If then, proceeding as I have just indicated, you should not be able to trace your telephone number, you can obtain the information in question by going to a centro wind equipped with identity card, fiscal Code, SIMs. e Serial Code (ICCID) of the card, and ask the sales people to help you on what to do. If you do not know where the Wind center closest to you is located, you can consult the map on the website of the operator.
How to know your Wind number
