Step (Windows / Mac / Linux)
If you are interested in understanding how to hide text in images, I suggest you first resort to using Step. This is a zero-cost resource usable on Windows and Mac (as well as on Linux) that does not require installation and that allows you to hide text to be written at the moment or documents at will within images supporting all those that are the most common types of files belonging to the category, such as: BMP, JPG, JPEG, PNG, PPM and TIFF.
To use it, connected to the download page attached to the official website of the program, click on the link to download the software that you find under the heading Download Link: in correspondence with the name of the operating system you are using and on the web page that opens click on the button with the down arrow which is at the top right.
At the end of the download, extract the archive included as soon as obtained in any position, then start the file with the name of the program inside it and accept the terms of use of Steg by scrolling the displayed document and pressing on Yes.
Now, select the photo you want to use to hide the text by clicking on the button Open JPG image in the upper left s it is a JPG file or the one immediately on the left if it is a different type of file.
