How to install and download WhatsApp Business
WhatsApp Business is available for both Android and iPhone. Therefore, if you want to start using the application, you must first download it from the store of your device.
To download WhatsApp Business on Android, tap on the Play Store, which has the icon with the symbol of a colored triangle and is located on the home screen or in the drawer (the screen with the list of all the apps installed on the device). Once you have started the PlayStore, tap on the search engine, located at the top. In the text field that you will see on the screen, type now WhatsApp Business and then press the button Search from the keyboard of your smartphone.
As soon as you see the search results, locate the WhatsApp Business application, which has the icon with the symbol of a speech bubble and in the center one "B" white in color. Beware of any imitations: the official application is developed by WhatsApp Inc.
If you have correctly identified the WhatsApp Business application, tap on its icon. To install it, press the button Install and then on the button Accept. Once the download and installation are complete, the button will appear apri: tap on it to start the app.
I remind you that, once downloaded, you can also start the app by tapping on its added icon on the main screen of your Android device.
Alternatively, if you have an Android smartphone that does not have the Play Store, you can download WhatsApp Business via APK. To do this, I advise you to act through the well-known website Apkmirror.com.
Then tap on this link from your smartphone and, once you have identified the latest version of the WhatsApp Business application based on the release date, tap the button with the down arrow symbol. From the next screen you will see, download the application by pressing the button Download aPK.
Don't forget that, in order to download the APK of applications via the apkmirror.com website, you need to activate the option Unknown origin: to perform this operation on the most recent versions of Android, go to the menu Settings> Security and privacy> More> Install unknown apps, select the browser or file manager you want to use to install the WhatsApp Business APK package and move the lever from OFF a ON, corresponding to the item Consenti l'installazione di app.
If, on the other hand, you are using an older version of Android, the path from the settings you need to follow to activate support for unknown sources is Settings> Security> Unknown Sources.
If you use a iPhone, you can install WhatsApp Business simply by opening the App Store (the icon of the letter "A" stylized on a blue background, located on the home screen), by selecting the Search placed in the lower right and looking WhatsApp Business in the appropriate field that appears on the screen.
Next, select theicon application from the search results, click on the button Get and authorize the download using your Apple ID Face ID, Touch ID or password.
How to set up WhatsApp Business
The first thing you need to do to start using WhatsApp Business is to configure your phone number in the app.
When opening the app, the first thing to do is to accept the terms and conditions of the service: then click on the button Accetta and continue to go to the next step, where you will have to enter and verify the phone number you want to associate with WhatsApp Business.
Keep in mind that you can also use your company's landline number and that you can use both WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business at the same time on your device. In the latter case, however, each application must be linked to a different phone number. You cannot therefore use WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business on the same number.
To verify your phone number, choose whether to use it same number currently set in WhatsApp (which, therefore, will be dissociated from the numbering in question) or whether to use another numberby pressing one of the two on-screen buttons. In case of entering a new number, select the country code, using the drop-down menu you will see on the screen and type your phone number in the text field below. If you are using an iPhone, at this juncture you will also have to accept the sending of notifications by the application.
Now, hit on NEXT and type or wait for the autofill of verification code, which should arrive via SMS within a few seconds. Subsequently, you also consent to requests from WhatsApp that refer to the ability to send messages, access your contacts, your photos and all the multimedia content on your device. Then press the buttons Continue e Allow, when required.
If the mobile number you have just registered for WhatsApp Business has already been used for the WhatsApp application, WhatsApp Business will take this into account. In fact, you will be asked if you want to restore the backup, if it is present. To do this, click on the button Restore when prompted and, once the backup is restored, press the button NEXT I will continue.
We are almost there: the initial setup of WhatsApp Business is almost finished. The last thing you need to do is point to the name of your business. Then type this information on the screen Info dell'attività, indicates the business category through the appropriate menu and press on OK I will continue.
Congratulations! You have successfully completed the initial setup of WhatsApp Business; now you just have to wait for the application to initialize to start using it. If you have chosen to use the number you had before in WhatsApp, your chats will be automatically imported into the application.
What is WhatsApp Business and how does it work
Once you have actually completed setting up your business phone number on WhatsApp Business, you will be able to access the main screen. The latter is called Chat and its operation is identical to WhatsApp.
In this section you will see all the conversations you have previously started in the WhatsApp application. If, as I indicated, you have successfully restored the backup, you will find them in WhatsApp Business.
At the instant messaging level, WhatsApp Business works exactly like WhatsApp. You can then send and receive text or multimedia messages (the self-destruct feature is also available for the latter) as you have always done. However, what differentiates WhatsApp Business from WhatsApp is the presence of some additional features that allow you to simplify and improve interaction with customers. In the following lines I will explain what these options are, how to activate and configure them.
The first thing to do is to access the application settings: to do this on Android, press the button with the three dots symbol which is located at the top right and select the item Settings from the menu that opens. Up iPhoneinstead, press the item Settings which is located at the bottom right.
Through the next screen, tap on the wording Activity settings. In this way you will be able to customize some settings related to your profile on WhatsApp Business.
Then tap on the item Profile which you can see in Activity settings, to modify all the data that refer to your business (by pressing the pencil symbol located in the upper right corner). Various text fields will appear on the screen, including those relating to the address, category and description of your business. You can also set the opening hours, indicate the email address and the official website of your company. Once you have edited all the text fields, click on the button Save, located in the upper right corner.
Returning now to the section Activity settings, I suggest you tap on the words Messaggio d'assenza, Welcome message e Quick answers.
By tapping on the wording Messaggio d'assenza, you can set up an automatic message that will be sent to people who will contact you via WhatsApp Business, when you are not available. To activate the away message, move the lever from OFF a ON in correspondence with the wording Send an absence message and then, in correspondence with the wording Message, press the button with the symbol of a pencil. You will thus be able to customize the message that will be sent to those who will write to you when you are not available on WhatsApp Business.
Then tap on the wording Schedule; you can choose how to send the absence message. Then put the check mark on the option you prefer. If you choose the option Always send, you will always send an automatic message as soon as people contact you when you are not online. With the option Custom timetable you can choose predefined times in which an automatic message will be sent to your customers.
If, on the other hand, you have set the opening hours of your business, following what I have indicated above, I suggest you select the wording Outside the opening hours. In this way, the automatic absence message will only be sent outside the opening hours. To confirm these options, click on the button Save, which you can find at the top right. I remind you that absence messages will only be sent when the phone is connected to the Internet.
In the Welcome message, move the lever from OFF a ON in correspondence with the wording Send welcome message. You can send people who contact you for the first time on WhatsApp Business a welcome message. The message can be customized by tapping the button with the pencil symbol, in correspondence with the wording Message. To confirm these changes, press the button again Save, which is located at the top right.
If you want to simplify and speed up contacts with your customers via WhatsApp Business, tap on the wording instead Quick answers, which you can always find in the menu Activity settings.
Quick Replies are quick links that allow you to send personalized text. Using quick replies, you can create shortcuts that will allow you to quickly send a message that you write frequently.
For example, setting it as a quick reply /thank you, you can quickly send a thank you message; or through the quick reply /contacts you can indicate the opening and closing times of your business. What I have pointed out to you are just common examples of quick answers. To customize them and add new ones, tap the button capacitor positive (+) lead and enter a new quick reply.
In the text field Message you will have to type the message you want to send, while in the text field Quick connection you will have to write the quick shortcut, after the symbol (/). Just to give you one last example, in my WhatsApp Business application I added the shortcut / sitoweb to quickly send to my contacts the link of my website, www.ridingworks.com.
Before leaving you to use WhatsApp Business, I want to point out the possibility of being able to view messages also through the service Web WhatsApp and the WhatsApp client for Windows and Mac. The procedure for synchronizing WhatsApp Business messages is identical to that which must be carried out for WhatsApp.
