How to know who has the number in the address book with WhatsApp
If you wish know which users among those who are among your contacts have saved your number in the address book, know that you can do this by taking advantage of the functionality of List broadcast di WhatsApp. This feature of the popular messaging platform, in fact, allows you to send messages only to those who have your phone number saved in the phone: this is why it is a particularly effective tool to know with certainty who has saved your number in the address book and who no.
The trick is to send a new broadcast message to two or more contacts: one of the two must be a person who you are sure has saved your number in the address book (perhaps you can use a family member or a trusted friend as a "guinea pig") and the other (or the others, if you want to try multiple contacts) must be someone you are not sure has memorized your number. To know how to proceed on Android and iPhone (WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp Desktop do not allow you to create new broadcasts), all you have to do is continue reading: you will find all the details in the next paragraphs.
Just a small clarification before starting: in order to take advantage of this "trick", it is assumed that both you and the users "suspected" of having saved your number in the address book use WhatsApp, OK? Now we can really get started!
Android
To proceed on Android, first open the official WhatsApp app, press on the tab CAT located at the top left, presses the button depicting i three dots which is located at the top right and, in the menu that opens, select the item New Broadcast.
Now, you have to select the people you want to include in the broadcast: in the contact list that appears on the screen, include both a person who you are sure has saved your number in their address book and the person you are not sure if they did, pressing on them names and then pressing the button depicting the (✓) white on a green background (located at the bottom right).
At this point, all you have to do is type in the dial bar that you find any message at the bottom (in order not to arouse suspicion, I suggest you send a simple "Hello! How are you?") and send it by pressing the symbol ofletter aeroplanino located at the bottom right. After sending it, press and hold on the message you forwarded, press on the symbol of three dots situato in alto a destra e seleciona la voce Info give the menu check if you press.
In the screen that opens, you can find out if the message has been delivered and possibly read and, if so, by which contacts: if the name of the person you suspected had saved your number in the phonebook does not appear under the heading Delivered to, it means he hasn't stored your number on his phone. If, on the other hand, his name appears, the message you sent has actually been delivered and, therefore, your number is saved in his address book.
iPhone
To find out who has your number saved in the address book, start the WhatsApp app on yours iPhone, press the button Chat located at the bottom right, presses on the item List broadcast at the top left and, in the screen that opens, tap the button New list which is placed at the bottom.
Now you have to choose the contacts you want to include in the broadcast list: from the list of contacts that is shown on the screen, choose both a person who you are sure has saved your number in the address book (for example a family member or a trusted friend), and one or more people that you are not sure have done, pressing on theirs names and then pressing on the item Crea at the top right.
Now, type in dial bar at the bottom of the message you want to send to the selected contacts and send it by pressing theletter aeroplanino (bottom right), so you can check who has saved your number in the phone book. After sending the message, make a long tap on it, press the symbol (▸) present in the balloon that appears right above the selected message and then on Info.
To find out if the message has been delivered and possibly read and, if so, from which contacts, all you have to do is pay attention to the information you see on the screen: if the name of the person you suspected had saved your number in the phonebook appears under the heading Delivered to, then it means that he has not stored your number on his phone; while if it appears it is you can be sure that it has actually saved it.
How to know who has the number in the address book without WhatsApp
You wish to know if there is a way to know who has the number in the phonebook without using WhatsApp, maybe because there is a contact who does not use the famous instant messaging app? The answer in this case is ni. There are, in fact, applications that allow (or rather, promise), to find out which contacts have saved their number in the phone book, but often do not work properly or do not work at all.
Some of these apps, such as ME – Simply See (available for Android and iOS), however, allow you to know if one of your contacts has saved our number in the address book only if the latter have installed ME on their device, which is quite unlikely.
Other solutions, still, promise to find out who has saved their number in the address book by registering with them or by paying small amounts of money: I strongly advise you not to resort to such solutions because they almost certainly hide a scam. You risk "giving" your personal information or even your money to complete strangers.
