Before explaining to you how Omegle works, I would like to provide you with some information regarding this popular chat service.
Omegle is a free online chat service that does not require registration, through which you can start text chats and video chats with people from all over the world. Using Omegle, they automatically accept the terms of service, which you can view at the bottom of its home page, by connecting directly to its official website: the use of Omegle is prohibited to minors of 13 years and, for children under 18, the permission of a parent or guardian is required.
In general, moreover, for the use of the service, the normal rules of common sense and good manners apply: you must behave in a correct and respectful way while chatting with other people, bearing in mind that textual conversations and videochat are moderate. Obviously, I do not take any responsibility for incorrect use of the service by you or other users.
Also, you need to know that, to use Omegle's video chat, you need to allow the service to access your computer's microphone and camera, via your browser settings. To do this, connect to the official Omegle website, then, if you are using the browser, for example Google Chrome, fai clic sull 'lock icon located at the top (near the address bar) and press the button Site settings. On the next screen, then move up Allow the relative drop-down menus Video camera e Microphone And that's it.
In addition, if you want to chat on Omegle in in your languagen and, therefore, with people who speak the same language as you, you must set the language in your languagen company for the service via the drop-down menu Select language, located on the home page of the same.
How to use Omegle on PC
After providing you with all the preliminary information regarding the correct use of Omegle, it's time to talk to you about how to use the service on PC: in the next paragraphs I will talk to you about how to use it to chat and video chat.
How to chat on Omegle
Omegle is a popular chat service, which allows you to start textual conversations with users from all over the world, also offering the possibility to start conversations starting from shared interests.
To start, then connect to the official website of the service and, to start a text chat, click on the button Text.
If you want to make sure you're starting a conversation with someone who has the same interests as you, type some of your hobbies in the text field Add your interests, then press the button Text: within a few moments, you will be shown the chat screen, through which you can start a text conversation, following the instructions I am about to give you.
Chatting on Omegle is very simple: all you have to do is write the message in the text field located at the bottom, then you have to press the button Submit on the keyboard or button Send on the screen, in order to send the message, which will be shown at the top, in the box dedicated to the conversation log.
To stop the conversation, press the button at any time To stop, located at the bottom left, and then on the button Esc, to confirm the operation.
Another Omegle text chat feature worth talking about is the Spy mode: it allows you to read the answers to a random question, or to a specific question, to be asked personally to the users of the service.
To use it, click the button Spy mode, located at the bottom of the home page, then, if you want to ask a question, click on the button Ask a question. Then type the question you want to ask in the text field Enter a question and click sul pulsating Ask Unknown.
Alternatively, if you don't want to ask any questions, after clicking the button Spy mode, press directly on Check it out. In both cases, you will be shown the chat screen and you will be able to chat with other people, following the instructions I have given you in the previous lines.
At any time, to return to the main menu of the service, click on omegle logo, located at the top, and then pulsating OK, to confirm the operation.
How to Video Chat on Omegle
If you want to start one videochat her omegle, you must first enable theaccess to the camera and microphone, through your browser settings: to do this, follow the instructions I gave you in the preliminary information chapter.
Once this is done, to start your video chat, connect to the official Omegle website and press the button Video: within a few moments, the videochat section of the service will open, through which you can interact with other people vocally.
Alternatively, if you prefer to write a text message, you can use the text chat below. For more information on this, see the previous chapter of the tutorial.
If, at any time, you want to stop the video chat, click the button To stop and then confirm the operation by pressing the button Esc. To return directly to the main menu of the service, instead, click on the omegle logo (up). If requested, confirm the operation by pressing the button OK.
How to use Omegle on smartphone
If you wonder how to use Omegle on smartphone, you should know that there is no app dedicated to this chat service, but it can be used easily through any browser to browse the Internet, such as Google Chrome for Android or Safari for iOS.
For a better use of the platform, even if the service is perfectly optimized for use via a mobile browser, you can activate the desktop view mode. To carry out this operation through Google Chrome, tap on the ⋮ icon and, in the menu that is shown to you, tap on the item Request destkop site.
If, on the other hand, you use the browser Safari on iOS, tap onshare icon at the bottom and, in the menu that is shown to you, presses on the item Request destkop site.
At this point, in order to use Omegle on smartphones, all you have to do is follow the instructions I gave you in the previous chapters, to start a text chat (Text) or a video chat (Video). Easy, right?
