How do I know how many Giga I have TIM
The first operator I intend to tell you about is TIM, which offers five methods to control your consumption: therefore, you are really spoiled for choice on the system to be adopted to understand how many Giga are available to you before the renewal of your offer.
By call or SMS
The simplest technique to know the residual Giga of your data plan is the call to the numbering 40916: in fact, it is a special number that allows, if called from the city, to receive precise information about one's telephone line. All you have to do, then, is open the dialer on your device (by pressing the handset icon), type the aforementioned number and touch the handset to start the call.
After hearing the welcome message from the service and getting information about the remaining credit, recalls the numeric keypad of the dialer (you can do this by pressing the button in the shape of a "keyboard" shown on the screen) and press the number corresponding to the option to obtain line information (it should be 1) and, after having listened to the information relating to it, press the number corresponding to the option for check credit / consumption (again, it should be 1). Once you have the information you want, simply hang up the phone.
Note: keep in mind that the combination of keys used to access the consumption control could change at any time, so follow the instructions given by the voice guide to avoid errors and unnecessary repetitions.
If you find the call a little too “long”, you can shorten the time by sending a SMS al 119, displaying your request in natural language: after a few seconds, TIM will automatically send a relevant response. In practice, all you have to do is dial a new text message, type in relevant text (eg "how many Giga are left for mine offering?“) And send it to 119. Nothing so complicated, right?
Via website
Another cost control system made available by TIM is theonline personal area: in this case, you must visit the operator's website, access the area dedicated to your SIM (by simply registering, if you have not yet done so) and consult the available thresholds from there.
To use it, connected to the operator's website, press the button MyTIM and enter your login credentials to enter the personal area. If you have not already registered, you must instead press the button twice Subscribe, fill in the proposed form with the necessary information (a email address it's a Password to access), then drag the cursor located at the bottom right and press on NEXT.
At this point, type yours cellphone number in the appropriate field, check the box below, press the button NEXT and, to end the registration, enter the security code received via SMS and click the button again NEXT. Once the registration has been successfully completed, connected again to the main page of the TIM site, press the button MyTIM and enter the username and password you defined during registration, then clicking on Log in.
The game is practically done: press on the card My line, expand the section relating to the offer you have subscribed to and carefully observe the graph proposed to know the traffic used so far, the residual traffic and the date of renewal of the offer (with simultaneous reset of the counters).
Through app
Do you need an even more immediate method to check the residual Giga of your offer? Then I can only advise you to use the official app MyTIM, available for both Android and iOS: after downloading and installing the app from your phone store, make sure you are connected to the Internet directly through your SIM's TIM network to simplify the login process.
Once this is done, start the downloaded app, wait for access to be made automatically (the SIM is "recognized" thanks to the direct connection to the network) and access the counters of your offer by making one swipe to the left on the inset showing the remaining credit. Then by touching the box with the traffic data, you have the possibility to view the report of the Internet sessions activated during the last 24 hours, the last week or in a period of time of your choice.
Note: if you are unable to access the Internet via the TIM network (e.g. if you are connected to Wi-Fi in an area without coverage), you can log in using your MyTIM personal credentials (I explained how to obtain them in the section previous) or using a temporary password: to do so, touch the item Don't have the password? located in the main screen of the app, repeat the operation with the button Temporary password, enter your mobile number on the next screen and, once you have received the disposable code via SMS, enter it in the appropriate field.
Do you need more information on the control of TIM's data thresholds? Consult without hesitation my tutorial on how to see how many Giga TIM remain, in which I treated the topic in an even more specific way.
How do I know how many Giga I have Vodafone
Also regarding Vodafone, you can choose between different systems to consult the residual Giga of your offer: below I intend to explain how to know this information through a classic phone call, using the operator's 190 Do-it-yourself area or, again, using the My Vodafone app.

To find out the residual data traffic via call "Classic", you have to make a phone call from the city to the special number 414 (if you are abroad, the number to dial is instead prefix 3492002414, at the cost of an international call with the rate provided by your plan): after listening to the welcome message, activate the keypad of your smartphone and press the button 1 to listen to the instructions of the voice guide, which will indicate the button to press to know the remaining Internet traffic of your offer.
Keep in mind that the call to 414 has a fixed cost of 40 cents and it is neither free nor included in your offer. If you do not want to spend money but still want to obtain the requested information by phone, I recommend that you call the number 190 and to get in touch with customer service: I explained how to proceed in my guide on how to contact the Vodafone operator.

To use it, download and install the app from your device's store, start it and log in using the telephone number and Password associated with your Wind account: once the login is complete, the main screen of the app will show you all the information on data traffic, minutes and remaining SMS. By call
To find out your consumption by making a phone call, you have to type the free number on the dialer of your phone 4046 if you call from the city, or the numbers prefix 3730004046 (SIM 3G) o prefix 3756004046 (4G SIM) if you call from abroad, at the cost of an international call, in accordance with your data plan.

How do I know how many Giga I have Iliad
As for Iliad, the French operator that has come to the fore in the city due to its extremely competitive rates, the situation is quite particular: it is possible to check the remaining credit by calling the free number 400, however, currently it is not possible to trace in this way also the quantity of Giga available.
In addition, at the time of writing this guide, there is also the official Visual Secretariat app for Android, which should provide this type of information, however its operation is rather fluctuating and does not always manage to perform the task for which it is designed.
Therefore, the safest way to receive the desired information is by accessing the operator's website: therefore connected to this Web page from a PC or smartphone, presses on the voice Personal Area and enter theUser ID and Password received by email upon purchase of the SIM. If you don't remember them, you can bypass the request by visiting the page in question through the Internet connection of your SIM Iliad.
Once logged in, the counters are immediately available on the first page proposed. If you wish, you can consult the dedicated thresholds abroad by clicking on the link Worldwide attached to the top of the displayed page.
I remind you that, in case of problems, you can contact a "physical" operator by calling the free number 177 from your Iliad SIM, or the toll number prefix 3518995177 from abroad or from the SIM of another operator.
