Among the many secrets that Hogwarts Legacy hides, doors with symbols (or Arithmantic Doors) are probably among the first you'll bump into when you enter Hogwarts. These are entrances closed by a combination that must be elaborated with a pinch of calculation, knowing what value to assign to the creatures that are engraved in an arch above them.
Nothing complicated, actually. You could get there by intuition or by finding a page of notes of Arithmancy which clearly shows you which numbers to associate with the creatures. The latter is, as it should be, in front of the door of the Arithmancy classroom. We'll explain how to get there in solving the first puzzle, meanwhile note the numbers and the creatures associated with them:
0: Demi Guise
1: Unicorn
2: Graphorn
3: Rune Poor
4: Fwooper
5: Quintaped
6: Salamander
7: I bring them closer
8: Acromantula
9: Hydra
Once this is done, you will be ready to move throughout Hogwarts in search of the twelve Arithmantic Gates. Note that for at least a couple of these you need to have learned the Alohmora spell - follow our Demiguise Figurine Guide to find out how to obtain and possibly upgrade it. In the end, Do all the solutions below follow the order of the panels? AND ??:so if it should read "the solution is Acromantula and Salamander", does that mean that Acromantula is associated with the panel? and Salamander in that??.

First gate
Travel by Floo to “Divination Classroom”, "Library" section, turn around and climb the few steps and then continue along the walkway. Turn right to see one of these famous arithmantic gates, along with the famous note that tells you how to solve the puzzle. The solution is Fwooper and Runespoor.
Second gate
Once inside the Arithmancy classroom, look to the left. The solution is Fwooper and Quintaped.
third gate
Still in the Arithmancy class, facing you from the entrance. The solution is Salamander and Unicorn.
fourth gate
Floo trip to the "Potions Classroom", “Library” section and turn around to see the arithmantic door in the background. The solution is Acromantula and Runespoor.
fifth gate
Always starting from the "Classroom of Potions" dustGo through the double doors and go down the stairs on the left to the padlocked door (lv. I). Use Alohomora, go through the Long Gallery, up the stairs and look to the left near the case with the troll. The solution is Graphorn and Unicorn.
Sixth Gate
Travel by Floo to the "Chamber of Spells", "Astronomy Wing" section, turn around and round the corner to the left to find the door. The solution is Graphorn and Avvincino.
seventh gate
Tube ride to "Ravenclaw Tower", "Main Staircase" section, go straight ahead and look to the right to find the door. The solution is Demiguise and Quintaped.
Eighth Gate
Metro ride to the “Main Staircase Tower”, "Main Stairs" section, go down the stairs until you find the door. The solution is Salamander and Avvincino.
Ninth Gate
Travel by metropowder up to “Scalinata Principale”, "Main Stairs" section, go up the stairs in front of you (remember that the panel is immediately to your right as soon as you teleport into the area), turn right, go up the stairs again and continue down the hall. to find the door on the left. The solution is Demiguise and Quintaped.
Tenth Gate
For this you will need to have followed the mission "The guardian of the crooked moon" (if you want you can also unlock the door during the mission itself). Travel with the metropowder to the "Torre del Corpo Docente", "South Wing" section, go straight ahead and open the door on the right to access the teachers' wing. Go up the stairs to see the Arithmantic Gate in front of you. The solution is Demiguise and Hydra.
eleventh gate
Metro ride to the “Great Hall”, section "Sala Grande" and turn down the corridor to the left of the entrance. The solution to open the door is Acromantula and Runespoor.
twelfth gate
Floo trip to the “Hall of Transfiguration”, "Astronomy Wing" section, turn around and enter the north corridor through the double doors on the left. Climb the stairs to the top to see in front of you a locked door (lv. I): open it to find the arithmantic door at the end of the hall. The solution is Salamander and Runespoor.
