Because, if on the one hand we are talking about a video game that is the result of an external development team (or in any case, not directly implicated) to the author's statements, on the other hand we live in a world in which being totally above the parties is no longer tolerable.
Here we only discuss Hogwarts Legacy as Consumable product, which is born from the creativity of a development studio that has been working on the project for several years. Even before we started our apprenticeship in Hogwarts castle, the player can customize his avatar. The available options are many and allow you to forge your own alter ego with different aesthetic opportunities. no restrictions in the creation of the characters, leaving the user as much freedom as possible to express themselves within the experience.
Hogwarts Legacy: With the wand (and more)
Regarding duels (with creatures or other wizards), the gaming experience is very lively and varied. You never have the feeling that one combat is the same as another, and this is thanks to the possibility of accessing the rich inventory of spells and potions available to the user. Learning to master all the techniques, whether attacking or defending, becomes essential, especially in the advanced stages of the game, when the experience becomes more demanding.
In addition to the enchantments available, we recommend players always keep their clothing up to date. This, in fact, does not have a purely aesthetic function, but rather boosts or improves the attack, defense and health statistics, especially necessary when the confrontations become more heated.
Hogwarts Legacy: an open world full of opportunities
But Hogwarts Legacy doesn't end within the walls of the wizarding school. The game offers quite a big map, which also offers several opportunities. Along with the missions that allow you to advance in the main story, Hogwarts Legacy -as a good RPG- also offers a large number of side activities and minor tasks, which fully satisfy fans of the saga.
Whether to do some purchases or sales from traveling merchants or take a course to refine magical technique within the castle walls, Hogwarts Legacy allows players to catch their breath between fights, perhaps exploring the lore of the Wizarding World universe more closely. In addition, the game's open map also offers numerous opportunities to farm (in technical jargon, performing repeated actions in an area to level up a character) and always keep your wizard trained for the next battle.
Precisely because the game world is quite large, the technical expertise of Hogwarts Legacy not perfect in all aspects, at least not in the review copy we reviewed. If on a graphic level the new game from Avalanche Software shows the interesting potential of next-generation consoles, from an exclusively technical point of view the title limps a bit.
Hogwarts Legacy: When It Arrives
Hogwarts Legacy will not be available on all platforms immediately. Avalanche Software has decided to prioritize next-generation consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S) and PC, on which the game debuts digitally starting February 7 and in physical version of February 10. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will see Hogwarts Legacy starting next Abril 4, while Nintendo Switch players will have to wait until Abril 25.
In general, it can be said that the Hogwarts Legacy experience designed for fans of the Wizarding World, where references and citations to original works abound.
